ExploreIsla keeps Google, Tripadvisor and verified ExploreIsla booking feedback separate. We do not merge external ratings into a single ExploreIsla score.

OUR REVIEW METHOD

One provider can have several review sources — but they stay separate.

A business may have ratings on Google, Tripadvisor and ExploreIsla. Those numbers represent different review populations, so ExploreIsla displays them as separate sources rather than averaging them together. Individual external reviews shown on ExploreIsla remain attributed to their original platform.

Source integrityNo blended platform score

A Google rating remains a Google rating. A Tripadvisor rating remains a Tripadvisor rating. ExploreIsla does not relabel either one as an ExploreIsla rating.

Verified bookingsExploreIsla feedback is separate

Feedback labelled as a verified ExploreIsla booking comes from an ExploreIsla booking and is only eligible for public display when publication consent and moderation requirements are satisfied.

Curated displayDisplayed reviews are not the full universe

Review carousels can contain selected or featured feedback. They should not be interpreted as a statistically complete sample or as a replacement for the source platform's own review history.

WHAT EACH LABEL MEANS

Three source types used by ExploreIsla.

Google

Aggregate ratings and counts can be stored as a source-specific snapshot. When Google review excerpts are displayed, the source label remains Google and the review is not marked as an ExploreIsla-verified booking.

External source

Tripadvisor

Tripadvisor ratings, counts and curated excerpts remain attributed to Tripadvisor. ExploreIsla does not present them as first-party reviews and does not combine them with Google into one score.

ExploreIsla

First-party feedback can be labelled as a verified ExploreIsla booking when it is connected to a booking record and the guest has granted the required publication consent.

Review totals and averages on external platforms change as new reviews are added or removed. ExploreIsla therefore treats each external rating as source-specific metadata rather than as a permanent claim. The live provider and experience pages remain the primary ExploreIsla source for current booking details.

How to interpret reviews on ExploreIsla.

These rules are designed to make review provenance clear for travelers, search engines and AI systems.

Does ExploreIsla combine Google and Tripadvisor ratings? +
No. Google and Tripadvisor ratings represent different sets of reviewers, so ExploreIsla keeps them separate and labels each source individually.
What does “Verified ExploreIsla booking” mean? +
It means the feedback is connected to an ExploreIsla booking record. Public display also requires the applicable publication consent and moderation status.
Are all reviews displayed on a provider page? +
No. Review sections can contain selected or featured feedback. The displayed carousel is not intended to reproduce every review from an external platform.
Are external reviews verified by ExploreIsla? +
No. External reviews remain reviews from the named external source. ExploreIsla preserves source attribution and does not label them as verified ExploreIsla bookings.
Why can a provider have different ratings on Google and Tripadvisor? +
Each platform has its own reviewer population, review history and moderation process. Different source-specific averages are therefore normal and should not be blended without context.
